Q. Do I need to apply for Qatar entry Visa?

  • Citizens of 95 countries are eligible for free of cost visa-free/visa-on-arrival entry into the State of Qatar, by presenting a valid passport with a minimum validity of six months and a confirmed onward or return ticket.
    Also the nationals of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries (Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates) do not require a visa to enter Qatar.

Q. What documents do I need for e-visa/visa-on-arrival services?

  • Nationals of eligible countries do not require any prior arrangement of visa documents and can obtain a visa waiver upon arrival to Qatar. Please check application steps and the latest information here: https://visitqatar.com/intl-en/practical-info/visas

Q. If I need to apply for a visa, shall I apply for a tourist or business visa to attend SLT?

  • You need a tourist visa to attend SLT.

Q. What documents do I need for Tourist visa application?

Application for Tourist visa is usually done by Qatar visa service. Documents needed to apply for the Tourist visa are:
  • Complete online form
  • Upload passport + pictures
  • Provide airline ticket
  • Pay online using visa or MasterCard.

COVID-19:

Q. Do I need a PCR or Rapid antigen test to visit Qatar? NEW!

  • As per the latest update: Qatar does not require any traveller to take a COVID-19 test before departing and after arriving in Qatar. However, the participants should check the requirements for return or subsequent travel to their destination country and follow destination country’s specific COVID-19 travel requirements.

Q. My country needs PCR/RAT. Where can I test for my return flight ?

  • PCR and Rapid antigen test (RAT) can be done in more than one hundred private hospitals and clinics in Qatar. PCR costs QR160 (USD 45), and Rapid antigen costs QR50 (USD 15). The list of accredited health facilities can be found in

    However you would need to have the EHTERAZ app to enter these facilities. Please note additional options may become available as we get closer to SLT. Please watch this space for periodic updates.

Q. What is Ehtraz? Should I install the application?

  • EHTERAZ is the official contact tracing application for the State of Qatar and is owned, operated, and approved by the Ministry of Public Health. It is mandatory for all individuals to present the health status of the Ehteraz application when entering any healthcare facilities in Qatar.​ Therefore, we advise installing the application prior to travelling. General Policies:

  • It is the responsibility of travellers to know about any changes to travel and return policy through official sources and websites before planning to travel to the State of Qatar.
  • Travellers must adhere to the measures in place in the State of Qatar to limit the spread of COVID-19 at all times.
  • Quarantine is no longer mandatory for all travelers arriving from abroad, however, travellers who test positive for COVID-19 after arriving in Qatar must undergo self-isolation measures in accordance with the procedures followed in the State of Qatar.
  • Citizens and residents of the State of Qatar are no longer required to take a Rapid Antigen test (nor PCR) upon their arrival in the State of Qatar.
  • Visitors are no longer required to bring a Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) or Rapid Antigen test certificate before travelling to the State of Qatar.
  • From 1 November 2022, visitors entering Qatar are not required to pre-register on the Ehteraz health application prior to arrival. However, the Ehteraz application is mandatory in case a travel wants to enter any healthcare facilities in Qatar. Therefore, we advise installing the application prior to travelling.
