Call For Demos

The IEEE Workshop on Spoken Language Technology (SLT) will be held from 9 – 12 January 2023 in Doha, Qatar. This year, SLT 2022 will feature sessions for Demo demonstration, along with regular and special sessions. Participants will take the opportunity to demonstrate their most recent progress of developments, and interact with the attendees in an informal way.

Topics

Demos related to aspects of spoken language technology are welcome with emphasis on the topics listed below. We particularly welcome submissions related to the theme of SLT 2022, “Languages of the world.”

Submission Procedure

Authors may submit demo presentation abstracts of up to 2 pages based on the SLT regular paper template. Abstracts can be submitted up until 7th October 2022 at 23:59:59 AoE (Anywhere on Earth). Submit your abstract via email to challengedemo.slt2022@gmail.com.

Abstracts should briefly outline the demonstration, including application and system design, and appropriate references. Additionally, information should be provided on equipment requirements. Demo applications may optionally include a single video file that exemplifies the results of the work. The submitted abstracts will be reviewed by Demo chairs and will be accepted/rejected for presentation. Note, demo abstracts will NOT be reviewed based on the double-blind policy. Demo abstracts will be included in the IEEE SLT proceedings but not in the IEEE Xplore Please note: A table, a poster board and power will be provided. There are no fees for demos, but all demo presenters will have to register to SLT 2022.

Schedule

The deadline for Demo submission 7th October 2022 at 23:59:59 AoE (Anywhere on Earth). After this date, no new submissions will be accepted.
